DANGEROUS GOODS COURSE

In this course you will be taught laws and regulations which apply to the carriage of dangerous goods. In this 4-hour in-class training course you will learn different classes of dangerous goods, how they affect the commercial truck driver and the responsibilities of the driver when dangerous goods are on board. A manual and test will be supplied to you in-class. Any body is eligible to do this course. It is best to register early and pick up the manual and test before the day of the course to study. At the end of the course you will receive a certificate which is approved by the Ontario Safety League and accepted by all the meager companies.

Before obtaining your learner’s permit, a vision test must be passed.  For this test, you will simply be asked to read a set of alphabets so the examiners are able to test your vision.

The written test itself includes general knowledge of rules of the road as well as road signs.  This will help you prepare for your future road test, as well as on the road driving.

The job of the examiner is to check your driving ability in different situations.  These may include starting the car, stopping, passing, turning through controlled intersections, parallel parking (uphill and downhill), reversing, driving at the posted speed, and steering techniques.
