Before obtaining your learner’s permit, a vision test mustbe passed. For this test, you will simply be asked to read a set of alphabets so the examiners are able to test your vision.
The written test itself includes general knowledge of rules of the road as well as road signs. This will help you prepare for your future road test, as well as on the road driving.
In order to practice for this test, you may purchase a Canada Driving Test CD or a Driver’s Handbook. Both of these items can be bought at our location. They cover rules and road signs, along with practice tests along the way. Questions on the test will come directly from the CD and/or handbook. Therefore, you should try to study the contents thoroughly and find a test centre closest to you. You must attain at least 80% on your vision test and 70% for the actual written test.
Remember to bring along three pieces of ID. These can include your SIN #, Birth Certificate, Canadian Passport, Student ID, etc.
The fee for this test is $125.00 and an additional $10 if you fail and wish to try again.
Once you have acquired your G1, you are eligible to drive with someone who has at least four years experience. In order to drive by the rules, you need to have your license with you while you are behind the wheel. Otherwise, consequences will arise. Your G1 is valid for five years from the date of issue.
Your G2 road test can only be attempted after a minimum of 12 months. However, if you take a Driver’s Ed course through an approved driving school like United Driver’s Training, your test can be taken after only 8 months! After 8 months of driving practice, you can take your G2 test if you have an MTO certificate, which again can be achieved through taking the United Driver’s Training Safe Driver’s Course which consists of 25 hours in-class and 10 hours in-car.
So don’t wait call United Drivers Training.
